The much anticipated launch for the global “Leader In Me” process in Kenya took place at Fairmont The Norfolk, Nairobi on 11th November 2016.
It was attended by directors and heads of schools drawn from different parts of the country. The “Leader in Me” is a transformation process that schools in Kenya can now access that will empower children with leadership and life skills.
“we need a paradigm shift in our country and the Leader In Me would be a great start”
“I believe that it is a wonderful inclusion to schools. I would be interested in seeing it in effect in the Kenyan setting”
“we need to change the education perception from not only producing students to seek for jobs but graduates with leadership and problem solving skills in the real world”
These were some of the thoughts shared by invited guests in regards to the program.
Among the schools represented were: Kiota school, Kinderville Junior school, Logos Christian schools, Agha Khan Academy, Mutongoni Academy, Nairobi Jaffery Academy, Mpesa Foundation Academy, Makini schools, The Banda School, Strathmore school, St. Christophers Preperatory school, St. Andrew’s Preparatory School-Turi amid 58 others.
